The 7 Trumpets of Revelation Have you ever noticed that when some are in crisis they
will pray a little more or read their Bible's more, even those who
rarely ever pray. They may even go to church for awhile and make all
sorts of promises. But, when all is over all the promises are forgotten
and quietly God again slips into the background. Life goes on as usual
until the next time He is needed, the heavenly Santa Claus. The trumpets of Revelation are designed to get the
world's attention to the coming of Jesus, a last chance to the mercy of
God to receive Salvation. These trumpets will bring people to the
recognition that this crisis are "Acts of God". The world will
cease to be as we have known it. The people of earth will be ready to
hear the full gospel. The full gospel has not yet been heard by the people of
earth, but only a portion. The principle of the gospel has and will
always remain unchanged that Salvation comes through faith in Jesus
Christ. Revelation 8: 2-6 And I saw the seven angels who
stand before God; and seven trumpets were given to them. And, holding a
golden censer and much incense was given to him, that he might add it to
the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the
throne. And the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the saints,
went up before God out of the angels hand. And the angel took the
censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar and threw it to the
earth; and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of
lightning and an earthquake. And the seven angels who had the seven
trumpets prepared themselves to sound them. Notice the angel at the altar. Who is this angel. What
is he doing? In a recent newsletter we looked at the Sanctuary
Services that were given to Israel, as a demonstration so they might
understand what was going on in Heaven. The morning and evening
sacrifices were for the corporate sins of the nation. These were only a
model so they might understand that Jesus is our High Priest who stands
in the way, interceding for the world so that we might not receive the
wrath of God. This angel at the altar is Jesus our interceder because
He paid the supreme price and was found worthy. Notice too that more
incense than usual is added to the altar before the trumpets sound. More
incense is added to prolong the atonement a little longer, as the
judgment of the living is about to take place. The censer is cast down to the earth. God's patience with the nation's has run out. The end of corporate intercession is ended. The fourth seal and the trumpets commence together. "Get ready, get ready. Prepare to meet your God." Notice too, what happens when the censer is cast down.
Thunder, lightening and an earthquake, physical signs to the earth that
the Great Tribulation has begun. The first four trumpets are warning to the world. the
last three are curses that God sends upon specific people. During all
these, God's hand is still outstretched to save all those who wish to be
saved. What a merciful and loving God we have. The living will judge themselves. Will they love and
trust God or take the mark of the beast in order to survive. Following
God will be hard, Satan will make sure of that. But accepting the mark
and following Satan will forever seal their eternal destinies to
eternally being separated from God. The Fourth seal and the trumpets commence together.
"Get ready, get ready. Prepare to meet your God." Notice too what happens when the censer is cast down.
Thundering, lightening and an earthquake. Physical signs to the people
of earth that the Great Tribulation has begun. The first four trumpets are warnings to the world. The
last three are curses that God sends on specific people. During these
trumpets God's hand is still outstretched to save all those who want to
be saved. What a loving and merciful God we have. The 144,000 and their helpers ( remnant one), are ready
to go throughout the world to gather all of God's remaining children
that are still in Babylon (meaning confusion). Remnant one are those who
have been studying the prophecies and have been anticipating the
trumpets. They are willing to go, be and do all that Jesus asks. These
children are throughout the world and they are ready to help the 144,000
of God's servants. THE SEVEN TRUMPETS Revelation 8:7-11 Trumpets 1-3 TRUMPET ONE: A hail-storm of fire. A meteor
shower, causing fires that burn a third of the land and the trees and
all the green grass. Fires that man cannot put out. Death and
destruction. TRUMPET TWO: A meteor hits the sea causing tidal waves
that destroy a third of the ships on the ocean and seaports. There is
intense heat that vaporizes the oxygen in the water that destroys a
third of marine life. The blood described is possibly red algae that
thrives in deoxygenated water. Remember John is describing this
situation through his own eyes and knowledge at the time. TRUMPET THREE: A large meteor hits a mass of land.
Perhaps a series of ground waves and earthquakes redistribute tectonic
forces beneath the surface of earth and collapses water wells that
provide us with our drinking water. Think of how the rest of our water
supply would be contaminated from this shaking. Our sewage lines would
be broken and all the toxic waste that has been buried in the ground
through the years would enter our water supplies. Many people will die
from drinking this contaminated water. Notice that at each of these trumpets 1/3 of the
earth is affected. This would be consistent with the idea that the
gospel must be preached throughout the world and then the end will come.
(Matthew 24:14) By the time these 3 trumpets have done their destruction
the people of earth will be willing to listen to an explanation of these
calamities. The gospel will be accepted by many and many will be saved. TRUMPET FOUR: Revelation 8:12 There is a
possibility after the first 3 trumpets, the darkening of the sun, moon
and stars could be caused by volcano eruptions due to the shift in the
earth's tectonic plates in the 3rd trumpet. Do you think by now that God will have people's
attention. Do you believe that by now they will recognize that these are
"Acts of God." The next 3 trumpets are woes. Revelation 8:13. These
affect people, not the physical elements of earth. TRUMPET 5: Revelation 9:1-12 John describes what
he sees in a way that he understands during his time. Imagine if you had
never seen an airplane or an automobile before. How would you describe
them. Satan is allowed to come up out of the Abyss (spirit world) and
does not return until Revelation 20:1-3 at which time he is
locked up for a thousand years. In verses 4 and 5 we can see that they are not allowed
to harm the earth, only specific people. These people do not have the
seal of God, they are the unsaved. They are not allowed to kill them,
but to torment them. Why? So they will blame the people of God, for they
will see that God's people are not harmed. Revelation 9:12 The first woe is past, behold,
two more woes are still coming after those things. TRUMPET SIX : Revelation 9:13-21, 11:14 During
this trumpet is a war. This is not Armageddon. The battle of Armageddon
is the 6th plague. It is a civil war, the 6th
trumpet war. Satan will lead all those following him that he has
deceived into this war against God's people. He will sit on the throne
claiming to be God. A universal death decree on God's people. Satan will
gain control of the world by force. TRUMPET SEVEN Revelation 11:15-19 The close of
SALVATION. Everyone has made his final decision by now. God's hand is no
longer outstretched to save. If you are not on the boat by now to follow
Jesus, it is too late. All those who took the mark of the beast to
survive. God's people have been cut-off from all earthly support. They
cannot buy or sell. Yet this is not one-sided. Jesus has something in
store for Satan and his followers. God in His wrath has the last woe
that contains the last plagues for them. All those who took the mark.
The seven trumpets are only a sample of what the 7 last plagues will be.
God will have no mercy for the wicked. God gives His own a promise. Read Psalms 91:1-19. You
will see the punishments of the wicked. All those who have hurt and
persecuted you. Those you may have thought at this time have escaped any
judgment. The scales of justice will be balanced. The destruction of
God's people ends!! Read the book of Esther 3-9. You will see a
close parallel of how Satan was able to bring a universal death decree
on God's people and you will also see their deliverance. Also see Daniel
12:11-12."And from the time that the regular sacrifice is
abolished, and abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290
days. How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335
days!" But as for you, go your way to the end; then you will enter
into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the
age." From the time of the censer being cast down until the
second coming is 1,335 days. From the throwing down of the censer until
the death decree is 1,290 days. Those who reach the 1,335 days will be
blessed of all. God is preparing His people with experiences now so that
they may receive this blessing. He is strengthening His people through
the fires now to refine them as gold. Have you made a decision yet to follow Jesus. To turn
your life over to Him. To keep His commandments. We do not know if today
is our last day. It could be too late to make that decision tomorrow.
Are you studying the prophecies so you will be prepared for all that is
coming upon this world. Remember the three wise men were only students
of the prophecies. You too can understand if you seek God with all your
heart. He will reveal these things to you. He is seeking a remnant to
help reach out to those who do not know Him, who are not prepared. Are
you doing your part? May God Bless Your Studies
