The
Lamb's Book of Life
God wrote a book of the history of the world. He wrote this book before
anything was created. The title of the book is called the "Book of
Life". The book contains the names of everyone who would ever
receive life and then the book was sealed with seven seals.
The book of life will not be opened until the 7th seal at the end of the
Millennium. The most fascinating point is before the book was sealed
everyone's name who would refuse eternal life with Christ was blotted
out. Yet even though God with His foreknowledge knew who would choose
not to love Him, in His infinite love chose to go to the cross anyway to
die for man's sin's. Even knowing the choice of man, He continues to
love us, provide for us and care for each of us. He never forces anyone
to love Him, He gives free choice to each individual.
The book was to remain sealed until after the judgment of man. It is not
used in the judgment. The angels record all the deeds of man in the book
of deeds and they are used to judge man. Both books will match when they
are opened. It will prove that God did not use His foreknowledge in His
dealing with man.
The Bible tells us that even before you were born that God knew you.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you... Jeremiah 1:5 "
Declare and set forth your case; Indeed, let them consult together. Who
has announced this from old? Who has long since declared it? Is it not
I, the Lord? Isaiah 45:21 And all who dwell on the earth will worship
him (Satan,) everyone whose name has not been written from the
foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been
slain. Revelation 13:8
Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance: And in Thy book they were
all written, the days that were ordained for me. When as yet there was
not one of them. Psalms 149:15-16
God knows each of us. He has a plan for your life. It is your choice as
to whether you follow Him or not. We can either choose to follow and
receive eternal life or refuse His offer and receive death. Revelation
20:15 "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life,
he was thrown into the lake of fire."
When the book is opened it will prove that God gave each of us the power
of choice. Even though He knows who will reject Him we will see the love
and mercy He extended to each of us anyway.
As each seal is broken in heaven, an event takes place on the earth.
Each seal reveals more about who Jesus is.
Is your name written in the Book of Life? Have you made the decision to
follow Jesus? Have you chosen to live eternally with Him? I pray that
you will make that decision today.
