WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED ???

Over the past year we have read many articles in the Gobedo Newsletter. I have seen many good reports and letters from our readers. I have even heard that some were upset over some of the articles and subjects that have been printed.

To all my Christian brothers and Sisters I just want to say, we are all in the body of Christ. We may not always agree on the same things or ideas nor agree on all Scriptures that are written in the Word of God. But, let us stand fast in the things that we do agree on, that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savor, King of Kings, Lord of Lords and will return to receive all those whom have trusted in His name. All those who have confessed Him openly before men and women calling on His name for salvation and believing that His Words are true. As written in the book of Romans 10:9-11. For as many as receive Him, to them He gives us power to become the sons and daughters of God, even to them that believe on His name. John 1:12

We are all one in the Body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, (Galatians 3:26-28) The key word here is ONE. There is only one body, yet many members are in the body.(Romans 12:4-5) There is one Lord, one faith , one Baptism, One God and Father of all. God is in all those who confess Him and receive Him through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:3-7)

There is one Mediator between God and the human race, The Man Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5, Galatians 4:6, John 4:13-21) Therefore we are ALL one in Christ Jesus and one in the Spirit: For there is also only One Spirit, which is the Spirit of God and of Christ, which we have just seen in the above Scriptures.

Why then do we let doctrines of men and devils and our silly traditions and ideas to keep us from the fellowship in which Jesus intended us to be? I ask, why are we as Christians divided? Why have we allowed ourselves to be separated by doctrines? (Matthew 15:9) The Doctrine of Christ, when received into our hearts will unite us in love, not divide us. We are to be One in Christ, one in the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:9) That’s right, God calls us into fellowship. But men have allowed sectarian differences, pride and stupidity to hinder us in our fellowship with those who are truly members of the body of Christ.

We are to come together in love and understanding in Christ. Sure I have my own ideas on certain subjects and I may not always agree with someone when it comes to Scriptures about the Second Coming of Christ, or Easter or Christmas or whatever the subject is. Whether it be drinking or eating or of any holiday, the Word of God tells us not judge anyone in these matters. Romans 14:1-10

Therefore we are not to judge anyone in meat, or in drink or in the respect of a holiday or the new moon or sabbath days. (Colossians 2:14-17) for all these things are but a shadow of thing to come. . . .But let every soul be subject to God. (Romans 13:1)

No Scripture is for anyone’s private interpretation. (2Peter 1:20, 2 Timothy 3:16) Sure there were differences and contention, and division among some of the first-century believers in the Church, even among some of the Apostles as well. (1 Corinthians 1:10-11, 11:17-18) But just like Paul, I also want to see these matters end, stop all fleshly divisions and contentions in the Church, and let them cease now.

Let us be in the perfect will of God, let us not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove that which is good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2) In addition, The apostle Paul spoke of giving No offence in anything that the ministry be not blamed, but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonment’s, in tumults, in labors, in watching, in fasting; by pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the Word of Truth, by the Power of God, by the Armor of Righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying and behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, et making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things." 2 Corinthians 6:3-10

Let us love one another, as our Lord exhorted us in John 15:12-17 (This is not a request) This is one of the greatest Commandments that Jesus gave us: The first is to Love God with all our hearts, minds and souls. Matthew 22:37-38

Let us not forget the words of our Lord, when He said, "This is My commandment, that YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. 1 John 3:23

Therefore I ask with a humble and earnest heart, that we love as Christians, all those whom have claimed the name of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. All those whom have come to the knowledge of the Truth, which is God. Owe no man any thing, but to love or Love is the fulfilling of the Law.

So let us, always agree to love one another, even if we do not always agree with one another. For if we can not love one another whom we have seen, how can we say we love God, whom we have not seen? Think about this. Learn to love in all things, and you will fulfil the will of the Father. Amen
